White Ribbon Campaign

White Ribbon is a worldwide campaign run by men working to raise awareness of domestic violence and abuse. They ask men to pledge not to commit, condone or remain silent about men’s violence against women.

Compassion plays and active part in the two week campaign, which runs from 25th November (UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) until 10th December each year.

In 2014, we were supported by male staff from Sainsbury’s, Sudbury, who helped to promote the campaign by walking a ‘Mile in Her Shoes’ – they literally walked a mile in high heels and gained much press coverage to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.

Teen Relationship Abuse Commercials

This series of commercial length films made by Compassion and funded by the Suffolk Community Foundation, is intended to raise awareness & understanding about issues of power, control and coercion experienced by at least 40% of young people in teenage relationships.
